Pete is an outdoor enthusiast and a kind of renaissance man – he enjoys all types of outdoor exercise – hiking, biking, paddling, skiing. Now 50 years old, he was a competitive athlete in high school and then pursued endurance sports in his thirties and forties. He enjoys full day outdoor adventures in every kind of weather. Most of the time he drives a desk, but he identifies himself with his activities as much as anything. Pete is picky about the clothing he buys, mostly about how it will perform. He doesn’t trust a label that says “water proof” and wants to make sure that the seams on his garments won’t rip. Pete doesn’t like to shop, generally, unless he can envision how the product will enhance his activity.
